Q2 Results – three things to know

Woodside’s Q2 results announced today demonstrate another quarter of safe, reliable operations, and efficient progress on our major growth projects.

Woodside CEO Liz Westcott said strong realised prices supported earnings and cash generation, highlighting the resilience of our diversified portfolio.

Here are three key takeaways:

  • Strong production and reliability. We delivered 41.3 million barrels of oil equivalent, supported by outstanding reliability of more than 99% at our Sangomar and Shenzi assets.
  • Major projects progressing to budget and schedule. The Scarborough Energy Project in Western Australia reached 98% completion and remains on track for first LNG cargo in Q4 2026. After the reporting period, first gas was achieved from the Scarborough reservoir. Drilling commenced at our Trion project, which is 64% complete and targeting first oil in 2028. Louisiana LNG is 28% complete.
  • Supporting Australia’s energy security. We signed a new sales and purchase agreement to supply Alcoa’s Western Australian alumina refining operations. Following the quarter, we also assumed operatorship of the important Gippsland Basin assets, reinforcing Woodside’s role as a reliable gas supplier to Australia’s east coast.
