Q4 results: Sangomar, Pluto LNG drive record yearly production

Woodside’s Q4 results announced this week capped a year of record production, with operational excellence across the company’s global assets propelling the business through the fourth quarter.

The 198.8 million barrels of oil equivalent produced in 2025 exceeded production guidance, and represents the largest figure in our company’s more than 40 years of operations.

Woodside Acting CEO Liz Westcott said:

Liz added it was pleasing to see strong performance across the portfolio, alongside continued progress on the company’s key growth projects.

The phenomenal outcome was delivered by teams doing what they do best, with a laser focus on the fundamentals – operational discipline through proactive maintenance, reliable execution and safe operations.

This is being complemented with strong progress at our major projects, as we continue to grow our business, help meet energy demand and create long-term value.

At Beaumont New Ammonia in Texas, teams achieved first ammonia production in late December. Final project commissioning will continue through early 2026, ahead of project completion and handover from OCI Global. Lower-carbon ammonia production is targeted for 2H 2026 following commencement of carbon capture and storage operations.

Momentum also continued at the Scarborough Energy Project in Western Australia, which remains on track to deliver first LNG in Q4 2026. A key milestone was reached earlier this month with the safe arrival of the floating production unit at the Scarborough field, paving the way for hook-up and commissioning activities.

In Mexico, the country’s first deepwater oil development, Trion, reached 50% completion by year’s end. Work on the floating production unit has moved ahead, with hull assembly finished and all critical equipment now installed on the topside modules. The project is targeting first oil in 2028.

At Louisiana LNG, construction advanced on the three-train foundation phase, which was 22% complete at the end of the quarter. First LNG is targeted for 2029, with the project set to broaden our LNG portfolio and support customers across both the Atlantic and Pacific basins.
