Footy brings us together and ignites our passion across WA’s regional and metro communities. Woodside is proud to invest in Freo's projects that nurture and develop athletic talent, and we support their vital work that continues to champion footy opportunities, and footy greatness, for all.
Freo’s Next Generation Academy (NGA) develops talented young athletes across regional WA and Perth metro areas. Woodside’s NGA support helps encourage participation in community football, particularly by young, promising players from Indigenous and multicultural backgrounds, and women. It’s also a chance to focus on Woodside’s commitment to developing positive opportunities for community wellbeing.
This important and long-standing Western Australian partnership has been extended until the end of 2027. Fremantle Football Club and Woodside Energy are continuing to build on their 15 years of delivering benefits to the Club and to the wider WA community.
The partnership enables the Club to further its impact, and a key part of this is the regional schools program for the Pilbara which commenced in 2025.
