Celebrating linguistic diversity and global connections at Woodside 

Linguistic Week is a yearly employee-led event through our Cultural and Linguistic Diversity (CALD) Employee Impact Group that showcases the rich tapestry of cultures and languages across our global workforce. From multilingual conversations and language classes to cultural celebrations and community launches, the week is a vibrant reminder that language is not just words—it’s culture, identity, and collaboration.

Highlights included:

• Panel discussions: sessions exploring how linguistic and cultural diversity can create a more inclusive workplace.
• Language classes: Employees learned key phrases in several languages from other Woodsiders, with cultural sharing adding flavour to the experience.
• Community groups: Lively international community focused events featuring authentic cuisine, cultural insights, and networking opportunities.
• Linguistic week quiz & communications: Engaging activities that celebrated the many languages spoken across Woodside.

Our commitment to cultural and linguistic inclusion continues year-round through CALD Connectors—an ongoing initiative gaining momentum across Woodside. These employee volunteers offer informal translation, cultural insights, and practical tips for international travel or relocation, helping teams navigate global collaboration with confidence.
