Case Study: Volunteering

Case Study - Volunteering

At Woodside, we offer meaningful opportunities for our employees to engage with nature and contribute to their local communities. This year, we hosted our first family volunteering days in collaboration with our partner, Conservation Volunteers Australia.

As part of this volunteering event, families successfully rehabilitated coastal dune systems and promoted biodiversity by planting hundreds of native coastal seedlings at beaches along the West Australian coastline. The events promote coastal conservation and make a significant impact on the environment.

“This is our local community, and so we’ll be able to watch the spinifex that we planted grow over time,” said Sophie Morris, Australian Operations,“

We are proud to see the enthusiasm and dedication shown by our employees and their families, with some even becoming active members of local community coastal care groups beyond our program.

“We recognise the importance of our partnership with Conservation Volunteers Australia, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our connection with nature and make a lasting impact on our local environment. Together, we will continue to create opportunities for our team to engage with their communities and make a positive difference” said Catherine Cregan, Corporate Affairs.
